- PCIDs access matching funds from governments from specified accounts budgeted for the purpose of keeping safe, efficient roads and transit alternatives.

REP. JOHNSON APPLAUDS BOARD, DEVELOPMENT
Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), a Member of the House Small Business Committee, addressed the PCIDs Boards and applauded the partnership which has enabled the live, work, walk and play renewal projects that are planned and underway. In a rousing tribute, Johnson recognized the commitment of PCID's business investors for voluntarily taxing themselves an additional 4 mils of property tax to support infrastructure improvements and transportation in the Perimeter area.
"Your work here is inspiring and it serves as a model for the nation. We can rebuild America. We can rebuild Georgia starting right here in the Perimeter area by pooling resources to rejuvenate existing developments," said Rep. Johnson. " ...aging and growing old are not necessarily the same," he said quoting a passage. "The Perimeter CIDs are working in an area that while it is aging, is showing new vitality and life."
The PCIDs presented the Congressman with the Champion of Transportation Eagle which is given to those who are moving transportation's agenda forward in Georgia.
