PCIDs launches new website for expanded information on current events, project and future plans

The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs) launched a new website. The site provides information on the organization, its staff and board, highlights current transportation projects and posts newspaper articles and other media concerning the Perimeter area. An interactive project map allows viewers the opportunity to learn about the PCIDs transportation improvement projects throughout the district. Information on current events, projects and future plans are updated monthly.




Perimeter completes its first GRTA Bond Program


The Perimeter CIDs has completed its first GRTA Bond program. The Perimeter Center project was designed to improve and upgrade sidewalks and intersections in and effort to efficiently move traffic while accommodating pedestrians.

This project is responsible for the repaving of Ashford Dunwoody Road from Hammond Drive to Meadow Lane as well as the repaving and the addition of new sidewalks and pedestrian lighting along Ashwood Parkway.

This project completed intersection upgrades at:

  • Ashford Dunwoody Road at Ravinia Office Complex
  • Hammond Drive at Macys Goodyear Tire Store
  • Ashford Dunwoody Road at Perimeter Center North

Improvements include:

  • Redesign of pedestrian crossings including ADA-compliant ramps
  • Enhanced pedestrian signage
  • Pedestrian count down timers
  • Upgraded intersection markings
  • Improved signal timing
  • Video detection
  • Upgrade to decorative traffic poles and mast arms
  • New landscaped medians
  • New sidewalks
